Chen is currently a doctoral student in, composition at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, under the guidance of, Professor Wendy LEE. In 2023, he earned his master's degree in composition from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Professor Zhao Guang. He has been awarded several accolades, including the Third Prize at the 13th Rivers Awards International Composition Competition in 2024, the Silver Award at the Third ‘Dunhuang Award’ Chinese Chamber Music and Solo New Works Exhibition and Evaluation Event in 2024, and the second place in the Senior Division of the Rocky Mountain Composition Competition in Canada, etc.
His notable works include the solo piece for dizi, Wucao Whispers; chamber music pieces such as The Transcendence Realm and The Resonance Of Mountain Song; orchestral works like Cherry Blossoms and Ding-Ding-Dang Capriccio; and the clarinet concerto Fire Dance. Among these, Ding-Ding- ang
Capriccio received funding from the 2022 Wenzhou Cultural Arts Development Fund, and its full score was published by Shanghai Music Publishing House in 2023. His compositions have been performed by ensembles such as Ensemble L'Itinéraire, Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, and Wenzhou University Symphony Orchestra, in cities including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Suzhou, and Wenzhou.
