Kam Pok Man

Kam Pok Man is a student at the Department of Physics at HKUST. He joined the Hong Kong Young Chinese Orchestra in 2018, and became principal of the percussion section in 2019. In 2014, he started to study Western percussion with Audrey Chin, and subsequently learned Chinese percussion under the tutelage of Lee Tsz Yan. While at secondary school, he was principal percussionist for the school’s Chinese and Western orchestras. He has performed at numerous major concerts with the Hong Kong Young Chinese Orchestra, including as paigu soloist at the ‘Sha Tin District Chinese Orchestra Concert in Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of Hong Kong SAR’ (held in 2022), and as lead performer at the ‘Resorts World One Inaugural Event (Port Stay)’ (held in 2023).
